Chinese Cultural Centre
Imperial Ball 2010
Enchanted Evening
at ROM on May 8

Toronto, April 20, 2010 – The Imperial Ball 2010, the 16th fundraising gala of Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCC), will take place on Saturday May 8 at Royal Ontario Museum. It will draw about six hundred patrons comprising senior business executives, professionals, community leaders and representatives from all levels of government.

Dr. Ming-Tat Cheung, Chairman and President of CCC, remarked “This is our 16th annual fundraising efforts for the Chinese Cultural Centre with a mandate to promote Chinese culture in the context of Canada's multicultural society. We are committed to striving for unity, cultural diversity and racial harmony in the community. It is also important for us to share the legacy of our mission with generations to come. Since the opening of Phase II of CCC in 2006 fall, numerous topnotch arts and cultural groups have performed in our Theatre and many community events have taken place in the Multi-Purpose Hall. CCC has become a prominent cultural hub for both the Chinese and diverse ethnicities in the GTA. Yet we have to raise funds to keep upgrading our theatre and other facilities to better serve the growing needs of the multicultural communities across the GTA.”

“Enchanted Evening” is the theme of this year with “East Meets West” entertainment. Feature performance will be singing by Michael Burgess, Canadian legendary tenor. There will also be Chinese ensemble. While enjoying the great shows, guests would have the privilege to experience the fine dining by C5 Restaurant Lounge which has been recognized in an authoritative global forum for its culinary excellence.

Rolex Boutique at Royal de Versailles has once again agreed to be the Presenting Sponsor of Imperial Ball 2010. Rolex Canada, which has been long time supporter of CCC, will donate two Rolex watches to help raise funds during the gala.

There will be an exciting live auction during the gala. Items for bidding would include two executive round trip air tickets to any destination in Asia sponsored by Air Canada and some luxurious jewellery items sponsored by Royal de Versailles.
