Imperial Ball 2017 Launches CCC Canada 150 Celebration Series
at Fairmont Royal York on May 27

Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCC) will be hosting the Imperial Ball 2017 on Saturday,May 27 at the Fairmont Royal York (100 Front Street West, Toronto). This year's theme is to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday through diverse arts and cultures.

Dr. Ming-Tat Cheung, Chairman and President of CCC, remarked “Being Home for the West to meet the East and the Past to meet the Future, our P C Ho Theatre has offered traditional and new talents, local and abroad, a state-of-the art platform to showcase their diversity and vitality as well as the unique fusion of East and West in the past decade. We will continue to upgrade our facilities with the funds raised to sustain CCC as a vibrant multicultural hub.”

The Imperial Ball will kick start CCC’s Canada 150 celebration series, to be followed by the Scarborough Summerfest, summer camp for kids and an exhibition of renowned Canadian artists as a finale. It will be exciting evening featuring the very famous legend of Chinese equivalent of Romeo and Juliet The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto by world renowned violin virtuoso Yi-Jia Susanne Hou who has performed over 2,000 performances in over 50 countries across the globe. There will also be grand ethnic dances and ensemble of Chinese music.

About 40 reputable business corporations and community organizations have pledged their support this year. Rolex Canada Ltd. and Royal de Versailles Jewellers are once again the Presenting Sponsors of the Imperial Ball. Royal de Versailles Jewellers will donate a diamond ring and a diamond pendant for live auction. Another auction item is two round-trip international business class air tickets from Air Canada. DFC Auto Group and RBC Royal Bank continue to be the Honorary Patrons (list of other major sponsors appended). Silent auction items include dinner coupons of various cuisines, fine wines, collectibles, paintings, fashionable accessories and many more. There will also be raffle draws with a round trip air tickets to China, LED TV and ipad as prizes.

The fundraising gala is expected to draw about five hundred patrons comprising senior business executives, professionals, community leaders and representatives from all levels of government. Gala tickets are $400 (regular), $480 (corporate) and $1,000 (VIP) each while the cost for a corporate table is $4,800.
